I haven’t known Malcolm that long, just about 2 years but I remember the first time I had a proper conversation over lunch at the elders/deacons retreat. He reminded me so much of my own dad, a practical, self-deprecating and humorous man, quick to make you feel like you were already a friend and so so kind. I wish I could have known him for longer and will miss him. So very sorry for your loss.
