My first encounter at Hampden lowlands village council meeting, venue The Mac Neil's Residence. Mr. Parris along with his wife Mrs. Parris welcomed me, i was even offered a lift home after the meeting was finished and was invited to come again. They both Became my very good Friends soon after. As we started a new chapter at the newly built Lowlands Multi-purpose facilty i can recall the council had a special meeting where a guest speaker was invited.
Mr Parris was always one to lead and be apart of his ideas. As we advertised for that special event he was an advocate for going house to house to invite new person to the special occasion. This showed as nearly 70% of the people who attended, expressed to us that he invited them to attend. He never shyed away from responsibilties as he held many important positions such as Trustee and PRO to name a few. A life so beautifully lived, that not only served the village council but the community, should be remembered. May his soul rest in peace, as we keep his wife and children in prayer and ask God to comfort them in this time of Sadness.
