Uncle Louis has always welcomed me into their home in D'Abadie, Trinidad as a teenager/ young adult and in later years in their home in England and then in Tobago. He has never made me feel as if I was unwanted or unwelcome. Whenever I have thought about him over the years, it was always with a smile. I cannot think of any topic in conversation that Uncle Louis didn't have some input or knowledge. I don't remember ever seeing him angry or without a smile on his face. He was always positive and had a presence that made him a person that could never be ignored or overlooked. I feel a sense of sadness that I cannot be at home to say my goodbyes with the rest of the family but I know that even though we love him, Jesus loves him best and he is now resting in the arms of the God he served while he was here with us. Sleep in peace Uncle Louis. You will never be forgotten.
