I was so fortunate to get to know Lori while working at the Board of Deputies of British Jews. She was so warm, supportive and quite clearly extremely effective. When relations between religious groups were in a bit of a rut and tensions were high, Lori stepped forward to become UCL's interfaith champion and did some really excellent work to start bringing different communities together.
She was also a staunch ally in the fight against antisemitism - and during a time when those allies were most needed. She even took the time to stay in touch after I had left my post to keep me up to date on the progress being made at UCL. When things were difficult in the news for the Jewish community she would contact me offering her support, and it was so encouraging to know that there were people out there supporting us during dark times. She went above and beyond the call of duty in so many ways - a truly special person. May her memory be a blessing to all.
