I remember you and your Mum initially from my work at the council. She has always been so proud of you and so passionate about ensuring all young people living in Leavesden Green had great life chances. She was not afraid to challenge, tenacious and always wanted everyone to be doing the best they could for the good of people in the community and especially those that were struggling and going through hard times. There are not a lot of people with the relentless passion, drive and positivity that your Mum had and it will be really missed by so many of us. She was proud to have imparted so much of her wisdom and drive into you and she has left behind a legacy. Not only with the great people that you have become but also with her involvement in the hub and with the youth projects and activities that she fought so hard for over the years. She also touched so many lives in her work at the school and used her own life experiences to understand why some of the kids were not thriving. She would always champion the people that others found hard to engage and failure was not an option! There is nothing that I can say that will make this time any easier for you but I have some great (and probably embarrassing for you guys!) photos of some of the brilliant events that your Mum did with her group of friends and I will get these across to you. I hope you find comfort in the fact that she was so proud of you both and was always talking about your latest achievements. Take care of each other and remember the good times x
