Dear Mrs. Kim and family: I am truly saddened to hear of Dr. Kim's passing. I completed my Peds ID fellowship at CHLA in 1998, a couple of years before he left for Johns Hopkins. Dr. Kim was a soft-spoken and quiet man, but had immense knowlege and passion for his work. He also had a quick wit and a great sense of humor. I have admired his wisdom and patience, and will always be grateful for everything he taught me during training. He will be greatly missed. Sending my deepest condolences and prayers to your family.
