Keith Tan

December 22, 1938 - September 11, 2021

Exactly 20 years ago, our father made a miraculous recovery from a ruptured aneurysm that should have taken his life. We recall watching in disbelief the news of the attack on the Twin Towers as our family gathered together after a visit to the hospital. He went on to live a full life and be a part of the lives of 7 grandchildren, 4 fur-grandchildren, and 2 god-grandchildren with one more on the way. He was a passionate musician and a respected member of the community, especially in his beloved sport of Tae Kwon Do, in which he achieved the highest honours. To many he was Grand Master, but to us, he was our beloved Daddy, Dad, Grandpa and Uncle. All condolence offerings can be transferred to the following account: PBB 4472904534 (Tan Han Yong) or to 016-228 7998. The Tan family thanks you for all the prayers, love and support we have received throughout this period of time.

Keith routinely welcomed me at Tan family gatherings, and we always had fun chatting and laughing together at those food-filled holiday and CNY parties. Sending all my love and support to Wendy, Nancy, Joanne, Jacqui, Jared, and your families in the wake of Keith's passing this weekend. The warm kindness you all showed me on my visits to Malaysia and Singapore is a memory I'll forever feel grateful for.
