Karl was such a warm and friendly person and always had a way of brightening up your day with a witty observation or interesting story. I will remember Karl for being generous with both his time and his record collection - his passion for music and art was as infectious as his smile! He will be truly missed.

I first got to know Karl after I joined the QA Team at Domestic and General. I remember walking back to my desk from the coffee machine and spotting that he was wearing a David Bowie t-shirt. As a fellow Bowie fan, I complimented him on his choice of clothing. This began a long friendship, around which many records were both lent & swapped between us. I'll always remember Karl not only for his impeccable taste in music, but also his dry sense of humour and kind spirit. He will be hugely missed.

I worked with Karl for over 13 years and he was a gem and a joy to be around. Dryly witty with a smile that always lit up his whole face, I could count on him to make me laugh even when he perhaps didn't intend to. We each always had time to talk to each other about our cats and all their shenanigans, current events, or whatever happened to be the topic of the day. Affable, effortlessly generous with his time, and an all around fantastic colleague who I'll greatly miss.
