Karen Lee Vidal: friend, sister, nanny, mum, wife. The true meaning of life is to plant trees under whose shade you do not expect to sit. Karen lived her life in service of others. She shared the best of herself, she had courage and she always did what needed to be done. She made sure everyone was taken care of today and tomorrow. This has become both a stoical gift and a quiet tragedy for her family, as Karen put herself second with the faith that her time to rest and indulge would eventually come. Despite this, although this time was taken from her, she faced this reality with peace, satisfied that the fruits of her labor will be enjoyed by those she loved most.

I feel really blessed and happy knowing you. Right from the first time I clicked on to apply for the Job through Mcarthur, I knew they was something special about the application and interview. That special person all along was you, Karen. You are one strong woman I know, you were loving, i would really miss you looking up to say hi when I come in for a shift. I will miss my off days how i would compile stories to tell you , I remember an encounter at fairfield recently and I was like Karen would love this one. Also I was about giving a patient his eyedrops last week and I was " There is sleep in your eyes'' I thought of you instantly, I remember how you told me it was called sleep and how I laughed so loud wondering why it was called that. I remember how you would laugh and tell us to take it easy with you. You were really strong and hopeful. You loved us a lot and you were there in your ways. Forever in our hearts

I really feel blessed myself as life give me chance to care and look after beautiful lady who was very strong inside and out. I remembered how homely I used to feel when I was in Karen's house. We always have great conversation. Her voice, words everything was so inspiring. I will deeply missed her in my life. I wished life have given me more I could have done to help her. I am so thankful to Karen for all the beautiful memories. I will always remembered you as of the inspiring person in my life. XXX

Liz and Ray Brookes A great soul serves everyone all the time. A great soul never dies. It brings us together again and again The angels are always near to those who are grieving, to whisper to them that their loved ones are safe in the hand of God. When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight. While we are mourning the loss of our Karen others are rejoicing to have known her. Karen was a wonderful wife, mother, Nanny and friend - the memory I wish to share is the talent that Karen had to be able to put lipstick on without a mirror and her tenacity. We had many laughs through our football (soccer) days - those fancy dress dinners were amazing. Whilst everyone was lost for words Tony and the girls found such beautiful words that came from their hearts . xx

I have so many memories of great times spent with Karen. We laughed, cried, and had many deep conversations about everything. Karen helped keep me sane as my life chaged and our children grew. We shared a love for David Bowie, dancing and possibly partying a little too hard at times!! I am so grateful to Karen for these wonderful memories. xx

It was an honor and a pleasure to help look after Karen as her Chiropractor over the last few years. Karen and I would always have great conversations and would always be laughing about something. I was able to learn a lot from Karen about being a parent to three girls and what I'm to expect as my own girls become older. Thank you for the advice, conversation, and laughter, Karen. I wish that there was even more I could have done to help you but thank you for giving me the chance to even try.

I have such beautiful memories of hanging out at the Vidal's home. Karen always made it feel like my second home there and like I was part of the family. I was always welcome. I have funny memories of Karen looking after me as very hung over teenager, but telling Stacey off for being in the same state. Taken far too soon but I know she lives on in her three strong and successful girls. They are a testament to her and the wonderful mum she is.

Karen as we all knew loved to Knit, so this one time she knitted a beautiful pale blue jumper with a cowl neck line and when she was almost finished she realized that she had made it to big so lucky for me it fitted me perfectly. I loved that jumper and it was just like Karen warm and comfortable xx
