June met my mum when they worked together at the Crosslee Inn. They remained friends until my mum died earlier this year. June was an amazing friend to my mum Anna McAleer and supported her for years. Memories are so many. June shouting jokes out of the car windows to passing strangers, going to Blackpool and returning with many "props" to make us giggle, huge cups of tea and slices if cake with her and her mammy in the kitchen in Howwood. Mum enjoyed the casino with June many a time. A memory they both often chatted about was the Kenny Rogers concert which they both attended and Kenny was wearing huge platforms and was still tiny. That story always made them both laugh. June was truly the kindest person I knew. My life and my mum's life was blessed by having her in it.
