Joyce Young

October 30, 1952 - October 26, 2020

Joyce was a beautiful lady loved by all. She was a truly devoted wife to Dave. Joyce was a loving mum to Tracy and Paul and mother-in-law to Tone and Jane. She was the most fun-loving Grandma to Lucy, Will, Ben, George and Tom. She was a truly inspirational lady who left an impression on everyone she met. She devoted her life to her family, alongside her career in nursing and beyond her retirement, she was a great source of support to those affected by Lymphoma. This page is intended to record her legacy alongside the stories and anecdotes that showed Joyce to be the loving, caring and fun-loving person she was. She will be greatly missed.

Mum would daily visit the bookies and when she couldn’t, she would log on to her account online. On several occasions, mum used to have a go on the slot machines - denying she ever went on. As a family, we used to catch her in the act - dad even ringing her whilst she was on the machine claiming she was in the spar. We used to knock on the window when we caught her and she would give the side glance, cheeky smile - hysterical xxx

Joyce often said “I’m shit at betting I’m going to give up next week “! Who cared it gave her so much pleasure in so many ways! ♥️
