Joyce Young

October 30, 1952 - October 26, 2020

Joyce was a beautiful lady loved by all. She was a truly devoted wife to Dave. Joyce was a loving mum to Tracy and Paul and mother-in-law to Tone and Jane. She was the most fun-loving Grandma to Lucy, Will, Ben, George and Tom. She was a truly inspirational lady who left an impression on everyone she met. She devoted her life to her family, alongside her career in nursing and beyond her retirement, she was a great source of support to those affected by Lymphoma. This page is intended to record her legacy alongside the stories and anecdotes that showed Joyce to be the loving, caring and fun-loving person she was. She will be greatly missed.

Whilst lay on a trolley, under a large amount of pain relief she was still able to cause trouble - pulling my bra strap and letting it go on my skin and laughing. With her eyes closed, she said “ bet you can’t guess what I’m thinking of ? “. I replied with “ the bookies “ and guess what I was right.
