Joyce was a precious wife, mother, family member, or friend to so many people, and we will all miss her dearly. We take comfort in knowing that she lived a full and happy life, enjoying gardening, cooking, jogging, reading, music, and spending time with her family and friends. She passed away peacefully in her apartment at McLean Home surrounded by the love and company of her family. Please share your thoughts and memories of her with us. Memorial Service to be held December 7th at 11 am at the Asylum Hill Congregational Church, 814 Asylum Avenue, Hartford, CT, 06105.

    Friends and Family, I have so many incredible and precious memories of my mom; but I am too overwhelmed to delve into them now. However, here is a very recent happy memory..... Somehow my mom managed to make joyful memories right up until the end days of her life. When she was still getting up and around she enjoyed doing puzzles, especially with my daughter, Maggie, and me when we were visiting. We spent hours consumed and entertained by enchanting scenes of birds, flowers, and fish that slowly emerged before our puzzling eyes. It was a fun pastime, and a testimony to my mom's mind-over-matter, grace and bravery through her passage. She was an amazing mother and friend, who will be so dearly missed. Love, Karen
