Dear Jose, It's almost more then a decade that we knew each other. I was so impressed to see your power and endurance when you where struggling to recover after your first stroke. It was amazing to see that you learned to bike and that you learned and struggled to recover from that terrible stroke.
What impressed me so much was the way you always gave glory to God for your recovery, I can't count the times you shared your hope and joy about what you accomplished. I remember I came to Coolhaven and we went by bike together to our homegroup, when you recoverd further you went by bike alone.
I can't count the times you had dinner in our house, you used to tell me sometimes: When I see you I remember my mother, you cook like an African mama.
When your sickness increased, life became more and more difficult for you, it was a joy to see you every sunday-morning. Whether there was rain of sunshine; you were there, I guess this reflects your life; in rain and sunshine you looked for God.
Now, your pain and suffering has come to an end in the presence of your Father in heaven,
your strength is restored,
your hope for something new became true
the care you receive now will last for ever
One day we will meet again in the presence of our Saviour
One day we will celebrate a great meal again
your pain is gone
