May 11, 1963 - February 21, 2020

Jos de Goey was CEO of WorldSkills Netherlands, President and Chair of WorldSkills International. Jos’ passing means the loss of a charismatic, passionate and highly committed CEO. Our thoughts are with his wife Anouschka and their children Charlotte and Torsten.

My first vivid memory of Jos is making a speech in his pink and green scarf in Lisbon at the end of EuroSkills 2010. And it was a great speach! He was a great inspiration for many of us, and in many levels. We have met many times during the years and he was an enourmus help for us developing SkillsHungary and organizing EuroSkills Budapest. I personaly owe him a lot and be forever grateful for his friendship and all the encouraging words that helped me in my professional choices in the past few years. Forever passionate about skills and always have a kind word or a laugh to share. My thoughts are with his family.
