John Gardiner, ANSTO's Property Manager based at Lucas Heights, sadly passed away on Friday 24 April, 2020. This news will come as a shock to many who worked with John and it’s a significant loss to the ANSTO community. During his time at ANSTO, John made a significant contribution working on major projects including the Innovation Precinct, as well as NMI and CSIRO matters. John contributed greatly to the development of all ANSTO’s campuses. As property manager, John was the face of ANSTO among the tenants, building strong relationships with all. Many of them have been impacted by the COVID-19 crisis and John had been working with them to provide support in recent weeks. Due to COVID-19 there are modifications to funeral gatherings so please share your memories and pass on your condolences to John's family. John was liked by many across ANSTO. He was the absolute professional and highly regarded for his composed nature and thoughtfulness. He was a valued ANSTO senior manager and will be greatly missed.

My sincere condolences to John's family and friends. I worked with John at ANSTO a beautiful friendly person who lightened up everyone's day, always smiling, never too busy for a quick chat and never too busy to help people when asked. He shared his knowledge and would help anyone and everyone at the ask, he was my "go to" Excel helper, and he was always looking at ways to improve processes. I missed John when I left ANSTO we kept in touch and now I have to say good bye to him - but we will meet again on the brighter side. John you will be missed by many as you were the type of person who touched everyone's heart with your kindness and friendship.
