John was such a calm and wise presence, always ready with a smile and with a brilliantly dry sense of humour. As a lawyer he was sharp and incredibly knowledgable, but on a human level he was just lovely to work with.
I worked with John many years ago as a paralegal and when I rejoined the firm almost 10 (!) years later I was touched that John remembered me and went out of his way to say hello. No matter what your role or seniority at the firm John was always kind, welcoming and fair.
I was so saddened to hear of his passing and it’s clear his loss will be keenly felt by so many. My deepest condolences to John’s family and friends who have lost a wonderful man far too soon. Rest in peace John.
