John Milner

April 25, 1971 - December 28, 2020

At times as sad as this it is hard to find the words to articulate both the individual and collective sorrow that the passing of John has made us all feel. This page in John's memory is where we can all share our condolences with John's loving family and let them know we are thinking of them.

What to say, John, I simply do not have the words to express how I feel. If however I did, I smile at the delight you would be taking in correcting my spelling and grammar. I try words like kind, frustrating, forgiving, funny, combative, clever, rebel, father, professional, loyal, opinionated, northern, friend. They are all relevant but none, even combined, can represent the smallest part of the complicated whole. I may not have the right words, but I do have the right memories, more than enough to counter this deep sadness, and that is amazing in and of itself. I am going to keep those memories till I can meet with others that knew you, and my God the time we will have reminiscing wonderful, warm words and times. Well, maybe I can share one that always makes me smile, you drag me off the phone and halfway across the office to share the humour in a sign that read ‘The stationary cupboard has moved.’ You were and always will be priceless.
