John Milner

April 25, 1971 - December 28, 2020

At times as sad as this it is hard to find the words to articulate both the individual and collective sorrow that the passing of John has made us all feel. This page in John's memory is where we can all share our condolences with John's loving family and let them know we are thinking of them.

John Milner, such a kind and welcoming man, always with a smile and a word of encouragement, glass and cigarette in hand and never once judgemental. My goodness how John made us feel so welcome when the Plowright and Genchem crews came to St Magnus House or more to the point The FOB. I loved his self effacing ways, that cheeky grin and quiet giggle at the foibles of the shipbroking business, and his ability to just always find the right words. Our twice a season five pound bets for the clashes of those titans Reading and Sheffield Wednesday Football Clubs were carved in stone, and only yesterday I had sent him an article from The Daily Telegraph bemoaning the decline of his beloved men from Hillsborough. You leave us too early Big, Generous, and above all Lovely Man, rest in peace, Your friend Ricardo.
