I have known John for many years and had the pleasure of reconnecting with him in 2019 to work closely with him in recruiting key members of the leadership team right up until his extremely sad passing. He was always such a pleasure to deal with and it was evident he was building a business with great values, which along with his passion and considered approach attracted great people. I will miss working with him as a client. His death is a tragic loss to the hospitality industry and my heart goes out to Lisa, his children, family and all of his work colleagues. RIP John

Building a business that successfully, "feeds more students better food", and helping them develop positive relationships with food for their long term health and wellbeing is an impressive thing to be remembered for. And that's John's legacy across our 5 Dimensions Trust of schools, improving the lives of the thousands of people who have eaten in them. Thank you John

My team and I had the pleasure of meeting John on a visit to one of my sites. What a kind, genuine, inspirational man he was. The news of his passing has come with great sadness and indeed shock, as I'm sure it has to many. My heart goes out to john's family, may his memory, passion and drive live on through each and every one of us at IFG. Rest in peace John.

Innovate only started working with our Trust of 15 schools last autumn, but John's clear values driven leadership of IFG was clear to us in the commitment to how the new service launched and to serving our pupils better food. When John came to visit us, just once earlier this year, his passion shone through again. We send our condolences to John's wife, children and wider family and the whole team at IFG. You are all in our thoughts.
