Jim was one of the first colleagues I got to know when I first started on Assess Platform.
He onboarded me, and it was obvious then his breadth of knowledge and his way with words.
He could always talk down an irate colleague, persuade folk to see sense or offer constructive criticism in the most gentle and supportive way.
That's not to say he couldn't illustrate the lunacy of a situation by application of one of his infamous analogies!
He never lost his sense of humour and his courage and fortitude in the face of his illness were astonishing.
In fact I told him as much and he said that sometimes he couldn't believe it himself!
A devoted husband and dad, Aileen and Emma were never far from his thoughts and were constantly mentioned.
My deepest sympathies to Aileen and Emma, Jim's parents and all his friends and family. I am so sorry for your loss.
Rest In Peace Jim - a fantastic friend and colleague.
