Jim Gillies

June 25, 1969 - November 13, 2021

Our friend and colleague, Jim Gillies, passed away at home on Saturday the 13th of November after a long battle with cancer. Jim has been part of SLC for over 16 years working in many teams including FE, DSA, BCF and, for the last 6 years, the Assess Platform. Jim has had a huge influence in all the teams he's worked in, but more importantly he has left a positive lasting impression on so many people he worked with. His loss will be felt much more widely than the Assess Platform and he will be missed by many within SLC. Jim is survived by his wife Aileen and daughter Emma and our thoughts go out to them at this time.

Please extend my deepest sympathies to Jim's wife, daughter and all his loved ones. Full of respect for Jim's professional thinking, curiosity, and dedication. Full of admiration for his amazing wit and way he put others first. Though on different sites, we worked together enough to know how his character made him the heart and soul of any group. He will be missed.
