Jim Gillies

June 25, 1969 - November 13, 2021

Our friend and colleague, Jim Gillies, passed away at home on Saturday the 13th of November after a long battle with cancer. Jim has been part of SLC for over 16 years working in many teams including FE, DSA, BCF and, for the last 6 years, the Assess Platform. Jim has had a huge influence in all the teams he's worked in, but more importantly he has left a positive lasting impression on so many people he worked with. His loss will be felt much more widely than the Assess Platform and he will be missed by many within SLC. Jim is survived by his wife Aileen and daughter Emma and our thoughts go out to them at this time.

Jim, a fellow Cancerian full of love, kindness and support. You will be deeply missed. Thank you for all your help and support (mainly at the wormhole). I remember my first week adamantly saying I need to speak to Jim, yet you stood so patiently and said "Yep - that's me". I wish you well in your next energetic journey. We are made up of atoms and surrounded by frequencies, so trust me in saying that there is more than this external world we call reality. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your family and your friends. Emma - a special message to you: Look after Humpty Dumpty - at the beginning of COVID we loved the fact you looked after him so well. Hopefully, you have many connections to look back on regarding the time you spent with your Dad - just look inside of yourself and you will find the strength to move forward. You do not know me, but lots of love is sent to both you and your Mum. Lots of love to you both. xxx
