We only knew Jay for a short period of time when he attended Practical Philosophy classes in Birmingham. Jay came across as a very kind, gentle soul who emanated a real sense of inner confidence and serenity. We will always remember Jay's engaging smile and youthfulness. Age was irrelevant, just another soul on the spiritual quest for truth.
Although Jay's departure from the physical body is hard for those left behind it is liberating for his soul to take up the continuing search for truth and happiness.
"Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea,
For tho' from out our Bourne of time and place
The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face
When I have crossed the bar"
