Our families spent time together on many vacations and outings over the years. Jason was a pro at navigating theme parks. He could get us from one end of the park to another with speed, patience and good humor. We will miss spending time with him and will always treasure the memories of all of our fun times together. --Chris, Leslie, Meredith and Kira Schuh

Hanging out as a family at the Mayerle’s house outside of Chicago
This past year, I was able to visit LA almost 3 times. I stayed with Jason, Andrea, and Lauren each time. In March, I took the family out to eat at a nice place they liked in Hermosa Beach. As we walked out I asked them to let me take a picture. This was it. This is simply unbelievable....my love and prayers to Lauren and Andrea.

Jason’s motivation and passion for running inspired me to get back into racing a half marathon - we had so much fun that morning and celebration afterwards - even if he beat me! Gone far too soon! Gonna miss you brother RIP

My wife and I will never forget how Jason and his family welcomed us to LA and made us feel we weren’t alone. Talking to him made you feel at peace, like everything would be okay. This photo is from our first dinner with him and Andrea in LA. We never got the chance to go diving together, and we shared far too few bottles of red wine. But the stories, the laughter, and his calm, grounding presence will stay with us.
