I first met James as part of a very tight group of friends when I moved to Chester aged 16. It was a nerve-wracking time, but these guys were the friendliest, most welcoming people I've ever met. At the centre of each party was this chap James, and it was easy to see why so many people loved him. A genuinely funny, energetic, charismatic and entertaining guy who had time for anyone, and as anyone who knew him will be feeling right now, this loss feels especially hard to take.
Like one or two posting here I wasn't as close as some to James, but I've always treasured the times from when we were knocking around in Chester in the late 90s. He will be very much missed by all that knew him.
My deepest condolences to James' family and close friends, and wishing you all the strength you need to get through this.
