The late Hussain Mohamed served three consecutive terms at the parliament, representing Alifu Alifu Atoll from 2005 to 2009, and Mathiveri constituency from 2009 to 2019. Hussain Mohamed had also served the government for more than 28 years in various capacities, including several senior positions. These included the positions of Director General, Deputy Director General, Assistant Executive Director and the Executive Director of Television Maldives.
