Harriet Rathbone

March 8, 1968 - August 23, 2021

It was with great sadness that we heard of Harriet Rathbone's tragic death in her home earlier this week, suddenly and unexpectedly. Harriet was an integral part of the Economic Crime Directorate, and was someone who brought people together with her kindness, humour and effervescent personality. Colleagues from across HSG, other parts of the Home Office, the NCA and NECC and UK Finance will all miss her immeasurably.

My thoughts and and condolences go out to the family and friends of Harriet. She was my introduction to the Home Office, helping me to settle in and quickly get acclimatised to the Department. Harriet was always positive, generous, extremely helpful and would never turn you down for a 'quick chat'. She was genuinely one of the nicest people I've ever met. I'll miss Harriet sorely as a colleague and friend
