Harriet Rathbone

March 8, 1968 - August 23, 2021

It was with great sadness that we heard of Harriet Rathbone's tragic death in her home earlier this week, suddenly and unexpectedly. Harriet was an integral part of the Economic Crime Directorate, and was someone who brought people together with her kindness, humour and effervescent personality. Colleagues from across HSG, other parts of the Home Office, the NCA and NECC and UK Finance will all miss her immeasurably.

It is difficult to put into words how utterly fantastic Harriet was. She was easily one of the friendliest and kindest people we ever met and an absolute joy to be around. We will truly miss our regular chats, especially about star wars and lego, that really brightened our day. We are privileged to have known her, and heartbroken by her loss. We miss her terribly but will always remember her as the bright star that she truly was. Our heartfelt condolences to her family at this very sad time.
