7/9 today was Eid Al adha and I spent it with Khurram. Hana’s absence blared at me the whole time. I’m grateful my son made adaptations to help me cope. Hana and I always prayed next to each other and spent the day together. When Hana and Khurram were young we would go out and do fun things like go out to eat, camp snoopy, carnivals, circus, mall of America, movies. I’d give the kids gifts and celebrate the day. Khurram and I went out to eat and saw a movie. Our energy was low and it was a challenge to get through the day. Mine and Khurram’s life has a big hole where Hana used to be. Eid was a family day and I miss my family of Hana Khurram and myself. I’m grateful for my son. I love you Hana and I miss you more than you can ever understand. I wish you were still here with us celebrating Eid and being family together.
