May 20 National Rescue Dog Day. Each year, millions of animals, specifically dogs, are abandoned by their owners. Animal welfare organizations step in to help by providing shelter and encouraging people to adopt the dogs. A year ago Hana had planned to adopt a rescue dog to be a therapy dog in her classroom/ school. Any dog lover knows dogs are good for unconditional love and stress relief which would’ve been good for this environment. Hana has always loved dogs and would ask to take the neighbors dog for walks. This is a note I wrote for Hana to get dog through rescue on 5/6/2021 “Hana is my daughter and grew up around dogs and the people who love them. All of our family have dogs and she loves them as we all do. She had a puppy previously and made sure he went to a good home when she and her boyfriend broke up and they couldn't decide who would get him. Family members have left the care of their dogs with Hana repeatedly because she cares for them as any family member. I believe she would make a loving pet owner. She has a home with a fence and has talked about plans to modify the home to possibly have a doggy door. I hope she meets your criteria and gets a dog so I can love it too“ All dogs go to heaven so I hope Hana is enjoying all the dogs there. I love you Hana. I miss you and wish you were here with me. I wish you would be here to have a dog who would love you the way you deserve to be loved.
