May 7 Join Hands Day was created — to bring people together, no matter their age, for volunteering services. Hana would often volunteer when in high school for feed my starving children. Hana often volunteered through work or to help family and friends. Hana was aware that almost 47% of volunteers report that volunteering has helped improve their mental health, especially those suffering from depression.
Coming together also supports unity. As long as we are united, we can be sure to achieve new heights by overcoming any and all difficulties. Our shared experiences and perspectives will help usher in new and better eras. Hana loved to help others and work with a variety of people. She never met a stranger as she wanted everyone to feel loved and accepted. I love you Hana. I miss you and wish you were here with me.
