National Cereal Day. Hana worked at General Mills and enjoyed several things about it including shopping for cereal at the General Mills store. She loved regular cheerios in the big yellow box. I worked close by General Mills and Hana and I would meet for lunch or dinner and she’d have me shop at the General Mills store. She was always looking for a way to save me money.
She enjoyed getting involved in the fun things like dressing up in General Mills clothing or characters or pictures with the Lucky Charms leprechaun.
She tried just like so many work positions to contribute to educating staff on diversity and social justice issues. She wanted to make a difference and create equity at General Mills and the world. I miss your loving heart Hana. I think of you all the time even when walking past a box of cheerios at the store. I love you Hana. I wish you were here having a bowl of cheerios and just being with me.
