It reminds me of the many, many things where I turned to you for advice and help, which you always gave willingly and with your characteristic warmth and humour. I miss you - not just as a colleague but as a friend.
You were someone who believed passionately that society could be much better than it is, and who in their person could engender that belief in others.
My heartfelt condolences to Giuseppe's wife and daughter and his wider family and friends.
I remember what my mother's brother said shortly after she passed earlier this year, "She's in heaven now". I don't know what are the precise arrangements in heaven for meeting up, but I would like to think you might meet up for a coffee and conversation - I know she would be as enriched to know you as I have been.
