I first met Gerard in 1999 when I started working at the School of Education Library, UWI. He was on his way out when I came in. He was there for about a month before he left for Main Library. I was new to the system and Gerard was very generous in sharing his knowledge and expertise with me. I never forgot his kindness. I wish to express my condolences to his family and may his soul RIP
