Dear Director. George USA Embassy, it have taken long to for me to accept, but I know very soon we will meet in Heaven, You Taught me how to believe and Trust in God, You Transformed my life from Nothing to Something, you were my Mentor, Dad, Brother, Prophet, Preacher, Spiritual Advisor and Many More to List
I met George in December 2009 upon my deployment by the TSC as the Principal of Muongoiya Secondary School. He was the Chairman of Board of Management and one of his roles was to receive and orientate me at the school. His calm, humble and very warm reception was the beginning of 11 years as my Chairman of the BoM up to December 2019 when I got transferred again. His enthusiasm for the welfare and the growth of Muongoiya Secondary School will forever remain entrenched in the hearts of the Board members who served with him. The harmony of the entire BoM reflected his character of a solution maker and not a problem finder. The Board would hold very healthy discussions and come up with resolutions that have propelled the single stream school of about 200 students to the current 620. The parents that George linked with employers for the sole purpose of educating their children demonstrated the heart of a Chairman whose desire was to touch the life of a child through education for future prosperity. These learners remain his life legacy as an enthusiast for education. Muongoiya secondary embarked on ICT INTEGRATION IN LEARNING, way before the Ministry of Education rolled out the program nationwide. George would source for computers and other ICT materials from organizations far and wide. The UN at Gigiri responded several times and through that, the Computer Studies class gained a lot. I remember how he used to urge teachers to visit the ARC and get into programs that would enable them to grow in their career as teachers. The STEM program was always on his lips any moment he would talk to the girls and our lady teachers. I, personally, have developed better skills in teaching through the interaction in the forums at the ARC. George would meet students and always conclude his talk with the challenge," The world is ready for your new idea. What is your idea?" He would then smile softly leaving the podium. Our families have been great friends ever since, sharing occasions, anniversaries and personal welfare. I have lost a man who was more than a brother to me. Go well my Chairman. R.I.P.
George, you have touched many lives and leave a great legacy behind. You will be missed and always remembered.
I have lost a dear friend, a mentor, a family man and a father figure. George was more than a colleague to me. For the past 4 years, every time I met George, he was so jovial and full of hope and dreams. He was very supportive of our work of equipping youth and women with the resources they need to succeed in business. He made me achieve greater heights in my personal and professional development. His words of wisdom, passion and dedication to his work and community at large will be an inspiration to me for the rest of my life. Rest with the Angels Buddy. I will forever miss you dearly.
George, I have so many memories of you that I will forever treasure. I will always remember your hearty laughter that drew in everyone in the joy of the moment, your great love for your family and all the milestones you shared, your patience and kindness as you listened and encouraged all who sought your counsel, the inspiration and quotes from the Bible that you knew so well and the exemplary speeches that spurred all listening. You were so generous as witnessed by all who shared your space since your table at the cafeteria was always full of colleagues sharing your food, warmth and laughter. We worked for together for 21 precious years and you grew to be family. We will all miss you. Fare thee well, George.

George was a very kind hearted person full of happiness. He was always ready to support the support the work we do at Pwani Teknowgalz of equipping young women with technological skills. George was a great friend and a mentor to me. He could sometimes call me to check on me and my team and inquire about our work progress. Before he passed, he joined us virtually to launch Coders at American Spaces project that will be running through 2021, at Pwani Teknowgalz we will continue to support the youth at American Spaces to acquire technology skills to keep his legacy. My condolence to the family and friends may God give you strength during this hard time of the loss of your loved one. May George's soul rest in eternal peace
George, I am grateful to God that we met, I celebrate you for the person you were. A true servant leader, a fine gentleman with a big heart for service, mentorship, and growth. We connected and our interactions were full of positivity, optimism, and hope for a better tomorrow. You were passionate about leveraging technology to address the challenges facing the Kenyan youth including creating opportunities a theme that connected us so well. We had some of the most memorable moments delivering programs in the different American corner spaces. You challenged me to think of this program (DigitizeHer) and I used to say you are our goodwill ambassador. Go well George, your legacy lives on.
From our first interaction to the last day I spoke with you, you have always been there to listen, to offer advice, guidance, and words of wisdom whenever I needed them. I will particularly miss, our laughter and the Kikuyu chats and more so the many Kikuyu proverbs you would insert to give weight to our conversations. You guided, you counseled and most importantly you had matters of youth empowerment at heart. . George, I will miss you dearly. . Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

Amos Rono: I will miss the many lunches we shared, the funny and serious banter we had. He was a friend, a brother, a gentleman. His love for youth issues inspired me. He will be remembered for the master stroke short speeches he had that always carried a subtle weight over his words. You will be missed, dearly. Till we meet again. Love and light!

I knew George way back during my college days in the 1990s while he was at the British Council. Then I followed him to the US Embassy American Reference Center. All through the two plus decades to his tragic passing, he remained such a treasured friend, always helpful and encouraging. I particularly remember his assistance during my masters Programme, which he had also done. Fare the well, George.
