Over the many years that we collaborated, I always appreciated Fussum's candor, dry humor, collegiality, and mix of subtlety with saying what needed to be said. I knew that any workshops or meetings that we were co-organizing or co-facilitating would be well-managed and thorough with him involved. I will really, really miss that and interacting with him. On a personal note, he also shared a love of hats (particularly the Irish flat cap style) like my father and brother, which I guess made him feel like family. My heart goes out to his family, friends and colleagues. We are together in this loss and in sharing our fond memories in Fussum's honor.
