Eugene was thoughtful, kind, and had a generous spirit. My fondest memory of him was of both of us walking down to the bus stop at Caldecott after our night shift. We chatted about everything under the sun. I often sought his advice, and he never failed to make me feel better after a conversation. I will always cherish those memories.
