Ernie Montero

January 2, 1959 - December 29, 2020

Ernie was one of the most caring, selfless and knowledgeable people you could ever meet, and he could never do enough for you. His passion for music & sound was evident in all he did, as was his generous and kind nature. He imparted countless amounts of knowledge on colleagues and students alike and his face lit up when he was sharing his pearls of wisdom and seeing people grasp it. A dear friend, colleague and wonderful human being.

Such sad news, Ernie was a massive part of my college life, he taught me so much to do with electronics and sound engineering. he taught me how to solder the right way and how to mix. he taught me more than any lecture ever could because he never followed the books, even if he always had something to moan about he was always happy, its thanks to what he taught me that I'm now in the sound industry and i will always be grateful for him and the short time we had together in his office. i hope your up there having a nice glass of whisky playing your guitar. Rest in peace Ernie
