I spent over one month in Tanzania with Dr. Oster in the summer after my first year of medical school. I learned so much from him, not just about medicine and surgery, but about life in general. He was a great surgeon and a great man and we can tell he loved doing God's work in the mission field. He was quick to laugh and smile and he helped countless people physically, mentally, and spiritually. He will surely be missed by so many.
