I will always be greatful to Don for being my first Bishop and helping my mum and us kids feel welcome and comfortable attending church in Cottesmore Close.
He would always stop and offer us lifts if he saw us walking the miles to and from church.
I'm a bit ashamed to say I accidentally broke one of his ribs during a boxing lesson for the church Young Men. To be honest I couldn't get through his guard at head level (he was too good!)
But the biggest thing I will remember is his smile and his humour. He is a truly great man with a great family and legacy.
Thank you Don
