We were greatly saddened to hear of the passing away of David and our thoughts are with his family and friends. We had the privilege and good fortune of working with him on several occasions, notably on a project concerning the value of play and he was also one of the jury members in our Playing for Change Awards. He was a tireless champion of the importance of play and a real champion of children's wellbeing, we are very grateful for having known him. Most of all, we will remember him not as an academic but as a really kind and passionate man. warm regards from the members of Toy Industries of Europe and its staff: Catherine, Dominique, Lars, Jennifer and Alexis
