I am so sorry to hear the sad news. I wanted to recognise David's long-standing contribution to the Education Endowment Foundations work, and the positive impact he made on members of the EEF team. David played a significant role in shaping our influential work on metacognition with regards to early years, and we have referenced his work substantially in our early years resources. Further, he was hugely respected, and his generous support much appreciated, by my colleagues that worked with him. He will be much missed.
