I am so sorry to hear this sad news. I remember David’s inspiring lectures when I was an undergraduate, and when I returned to work at the Faculty years later, he was always keen to be involved with the outreach events I organised. He would always jokingly remind me to ensure I had a suitably sized t-shirt for him after one event where he squeezed into a small size so as not to miss out on the fun. I offer my deepest condolences to the family, as does my husband, Allen Saunders, the former Faculty custodian, who remembers David as a friendly colleague for 15 years. David: your contribution to education and children’s lives is an incredible legacy.
