Earth has lost such a kind, generous and playful soul in David. However, his legacy will be felt not only in academia but in each of the lives he has influenced- and there are so very many of those. His guidance and love have forged a generation of teachers and educational leaders who, in turn, have guided and inspired thousands and thousands of children all over the world. Thank you, David, for teaching and supervising me whilst I was at Cambridge and for visiting us in Sydney, Australia. I feel so blessed to know that my two children got to meet you and Linda as well. Linda and family, please accept our deepest, deepest sympathies and condolences. Victoria, Adam, Sophia and Beatrice Leslie
