Tarifa certainly won't be the same for me without his cheeky smile and wonderful stories. I was always greeted with a "Hello trouble" and a huge hug from day dot. From the first moment meeting Dave and having the pleasure of regularly serving him his first coffee of the morning shortly followed by a quick midday beer in Cafe Zumo nearly 20 years ago and we've been in each others lives ever since, enjoying everything from open mic nights in Moskito to family parties in Essex, Dave was part of my Tarifa family loved by me, my parents and siblings also. He never let me forget the time I murdered a Shikira (who he knew of course) song which he still took great joy in reminding me of 18 years down the road.. He was a funny, funny man and an absolute pleasure to know. Such a character, such a full and diverse life, such a lovely fella.
I'll miss you my old friend.... Love, Emily x
