A lot of time has slipped by since those days of meeting up in The Conway or The Junction and then on to Rafters or the Conti or The Russell. Dave was always at the very heart of all the action, laughing, joking and generally fooling around but always organising and planning the evenings adventure. Dave was there in the thick of everything; the next gig, the next practice session, the next party, the next round. Life was fun and fast moving and let's face it, pretty care free in those days. And a big part of that was contagious from Dave's live life to the full and for the moment attitude. One particular memory, a big gig in Manchester just before Christmas, Intastella and World of Twist. For some reason, (presumably to do with the upcoming festivities), Tony had decided to come on stage wrapped from head to toe in tin foil. No sign of Dave but of course he showed up just in time and Tony came on stage completely kitted out in tin foil, Dave's remark, "you wouldn't believe how difficult it is to get 20 rolls of tin foil at this time of year". Dave always had a way to get things done and find a fix to any problem, but at the same time he loved every minute of it. So long Dave, it was fun being part of your world. You will be missed.
