Shocked and saddened to hear of Darren's passing. We worked closely on all of the projects I've been involved with here at Newcastle UNI. Without Darren's help I doubt we would have been able to progress very far. He is certainly going to be missed, not only for his technical skills but also as a friend.

Darren was an integral member of our electronics team since he started here in 2005. Darren was renowned for his exceptional electronic skills and unwavering attention to detail, which he consistently demonstrated in his work. He was a valued member of our team and will be sorely missed by all of us who had the privilege of working alongside him.

It was very sad news. Darren helps me a lot of building my test rig for my PhD project. I first met him in the Electronics Lab around 2017 and constantly works with him through different project. My condolences are with his family.
