I can't count the number of times he's offered me great advice, or helped me out of a tight spot when a project had gone awry. He was always so patient with me in my undergraduate years, and had a brilliant ability to help without making you feel stupid (even when you were a kid making stupid mistakes!). I wouldn't be the engineer I am today without him, and the University won't feel the same without him around. My thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.
