Darren made this innovative drive for us some years ago. Great work by a really nice guy. Such sad news.

Darren was a spectacular electronics technician who was known for his incredible attention to detail and his ability to produce fantastic industry standard circuit boards for both teaching and research. He was truly one of the best in the field, and his contribution to the school was invaluable. I am so sad that we have lost not just a colleague, but a close friend, and his loss will be felt deeply by many that knew him. Thoughts are for his wife Helen and their two young sons Thomas and Adam at this very difficult time.
